# Cirque de Gavarnie: the great glacial theatre of the Pyrenees In the heart of the Hautes-Pyrénées, within the municipality of Gavarnie, the Cirque de Gavarnie presents a natural architecture on the scale of the high mountains. Its walls form a vast rocky amphitheatre, shaped by glaciers in the Pyrenees massif.
