A comforting dish with Middle Eastern-inspired flavors, simple to make. Ingredients for 4 servings: - 600 g minced lamb - 1 egg - 1 small onion - 2 tbsp breadcrumbs - 1 tsp cumin - 1 tbsp chopped mint - 250 g medium couscous - 50 g raisins - 250 ml hot water - 1 knob of butter - Salt and pepper Preparation: 1. Mix the lamb with the egg, chopped onion, breadcrumbs, cumin, and mint. 2. Shape into meatballs, then brown them in a frying pan for 10 minutes. 3. Cover and continue cooking over low heat for 5 minutes. 4. Allow the couscous to swell with the salted hot water and raisins. 5. Fluff with the butter. 6. Serve the meatballs over the couscous. 7. Add a little lemon yogurt or spicy tomato sauce, as desired. Tip: A few toasted almonds on the couscous work very well.
