Beer Crêpes
Article
- Ingredients: 250 g flour 3 eggs 50 cl milk 25 cl blonde beer 1 packet vanilla sugar (or 1 teaspoon vanilla extract) 2 tablespoons oil 1 pinch salt Butter for cooking - Instructions: Preparing the batter: In a large bowl, mix the flour and the pinch of salt. Make a well in the centre and add the eggs. Mix gently, gradually incorporating the flour. Gradually add the milk, then the beer, continuing to mix until you obtain a smooth batter. Add the vanilla sugar and oil. Mix well. Let the batter rest for at least 30 minutes at room temperature. This allows the flour to hydrate properly and the beer bubbles to subside, making the crêpes lighter. Cooking the crêpes: Heat a crêpe pan or non-stick frying pan over medium heat and add a small knob of butter. Pour a ladleful of batter into the hot pan and tilt the pan to spread the batter evenly. Cook the crêpe for about 1 to 2 minutes on each side, until golden. Repeat until all the batter has been used, adding a little butter to the pan between each crêpe. Toppings: Serve the crêpes hot with sugar, maple syrup, jam, Nutella, fresh fruit, or any other topping of your choice. And there you have it! Your beer crêpes are ready to enjoy. Bon appétit!
